Los Angeles – A large gathering of fans are expected to pay tribute to the late King of Pop Michael Jackson at his tomb in Forest Lawns Cemetery on Friday, one year after he died.
Police in Glendale, who have jurisdiction over the Forest Lawn Cemetery in which Jackson was buried, has instituted a ban on overnight camping, parking, and street vendor sales near the cemetery.
Fans will be allowed to walk by the front of the Holly Terrace area of the Great Mausoleum in Glendale, where Jackson is interred. They can leave flowers and other tributes in a designated area and must then leave the park, authorities said.
From 8:00 (1500 GMT) Friday morning, Jackson devotees are allowed to pay their tribute to the pop icon until the gates close at 18:00 (0100 GMT Saturday).
